Employee
Console |
|
Allow
the employee to view daily assignments and
special events in a real-time fashion.
Employees can create and submit forms to
their supervisors, and receive notifications
as to the Approval/Denial of certain
requests.

|
Supervisor
Console |
|
Allow
supervisors to monitor daily activities and
assist other users of the system. An
important function of supervisors is to
process form approvals for their
subordinates. Supervisors can edit the Daily
Assignment Roster as needed, which reduces
the burden on the Admin Sergeant.
Supervisors can also create forms for their
subordinates as needed, to insure that
timekeepers have all of the information
necessary to generate payroll.

Scheduling
Console |
|
Assist
the on-duty Admin Sergeant with scheduling
for officers in the field. Daily Rosters are
auto-generated by the system, and as events
of the day progress, edits to the roster can
be made and published to the force.
Information required to assist in
determining replacement strategies are
included in various displays throughout the
application. Special Event planning and
coordination is provided as well.

Information
Desk Console |
|
An
important point of contact for all officers
and management personnel. This application
provides access to the Daily Assignment
Roster and the Special Event Roster, as well
as assignment information on all officers in
the system. Forms creation capabilities
exist for Personal Leave, Sick and Injury
forms. Officers will typically phone the
information desk personnel who will create
the forms in the system. The forms are then
routed to the appropriate individuals. |
|
|
Court Console |
|
Used
by the Courtroom Supervisor to create court
attendance forms. The forms will be filled
out on-site and sent to the approving
supervisor. Contract rules will be applied
during the timekeeping stage. |
|
|
Timekeeper
Console |
|
The
checkpoint for all timekeeping information.
Timekeepers have the ability to create and
edit forms as needed. New or edited forms
are sent back to the corresponding
supervisor for approval. Reports can be
generated for all individuals. Once the
information is deemed correct, files can be
generated for processing by the payroll
system.

| The
Precinct Manager system was created to streamline
the process of scheduling Police Department personnel.
The objectives of the system are to improve
communications across the organization, and to provide a
platform for gathering information that can drive human
resource, payroll, and reporting systems. The system
uses a web-based approach to minimize installation costs
and reduce the labor needed from IT staff during
deployment of Precinct Manager. The program can easily
be accessed from a simple link from an existing Intranet
site.
