Special Event handling is a
key component of Precinct Manager.
Large-scale special events (e.g. Ohio State vs. Michigan football game)
require significant planning, budgeting and execution.
Special Event planning enables the event coordinator to construct
working teams from the forces that are available, possibly from multiple
jurisdictions. This information can be instantly broadcast via the
web, showing a tactical view of the field force.
The cost of the event can be instantly calculated, giving management
much needed budgeting information that can be used to acquire proper
funding.
While an event is in progress, the event coordinator can easily
reallocate forces, which can either make the force more effective, or
allow for cost savings if appropriate. At the end of the event, overtime
slips can be auto-generated, eliminating the mass of paper forms that
are normally associated with a special event. |
